Hello SE Region ALEA Members:

As an update to SE Region activity I want to bring everyone up to speed. My name is Kevin Vislocky. I have been appointed to the position of SE Region Director after Mark Cherney was unable to continue in this role due to unanticipated increased family and work obligations needing his full attention. The ALEA Board of Directors, in compliance with association by-laws appointed me to fill this position. As you recall, I was on the election ballot for the SE Region Director along with Mark. I will do everything I can to continue with the progress made by Mark in moving our ALEA forward and providing you the representation you need as a member. I would greatly appreciate each members ideas and support in performing my responsibilities.

The SE Region Safety Seminar has been locked in. The seminar will be held in Tampa, Florida, on January 13-15, 2010. The seminar site will be the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, 2900 Bayport Drive, Tampa, Florida. My agency, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, has agreed to host the seminar. We will be working hard to make this safety seminar informative, useful, and enjoyable. We are working on coming up with a class curriculum that fits your needs. I solicit from our membership all suggestions for course topics to make this the best safety seminar ever. Please mark your calendars and try to attend.
